The Christmas Box
Last month, I used Amazon to clear out a box of duplicate music CDs that were cluttering the garage. Yesterday, I tacked a guilty secret that was lurking under my bed and a second in the closet. I like to shop for Christmas and birthdays, year ’round. I shop the deals and tag up the items for future giving. The year round style of shopping saves money and time. But there is a problem. Usually, I purchase too much or my children change tastes in toys. Sometimes I miss the hot products badly and end up with a handful of items that are never given. In the past, I would save them for family and friends, hoping that I could match a gift to a need. It almost never works out. So today, I pulled these past due gifts out and logged into Amazon. Since these are new products, I can sell them for close to or exactly what I paid for them. It only takes a little time to update the product information on Amazon and load a picture. I am really cleaning house and clean up with a little extra money. Making money clearing clutter is a good motivator for airing out and disposing of my secret gift box.
